Wayne Mark Doster, Jr., age 58, of Powell, Tennessee passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family. Wayne was a beloved husband. His wife, Jo, was the love of his life and his rock. He was a father, father-in-love and grandfather but his favorite people called him, "Pops". He never met anyone he didn't connect with and befriended most he met. Wayne was admired by all for his sense of humor, optimism and strong will to live. As a child, Wayne raced go karts nationwide for 11 years. He competed against much bigger race teams and had two top five finishes in Grand National Championships and two wins in Winter National Championships. Wayne faithfully worked for Shoney's of Knoxville for 22 years where he served as General Manager at multiple locations. In 2003, he started his own lawn and landscaping company, Doster Lawns and Landscaping, LLC, which is currently an ongoing, successful business. Wayne has always been an avid golfer. In recent years, he enjoyed going to the gym which led to a lifestyle change to include cycling and most recently became a Harley Davidson enthusiast.
Wayne was preceded in death by grandparents, Paul W. and Theresa Doster and Anthony and Anna La Penna; aunts, Shirley Laudenslager, Angeline Garganta, Marie Sullivan and Jeannette Dzienis; uncle, Robert Doster; father-in-law, Jack Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Jo Doster; children, Tyler Drummer, Wayne Mark (Kaci) Doster, III, Blake (Corey) Kocisko, Taylor Doster, Zachary Doster; grandchildren, Owen William Doster, Wayne Mark Doster, IV, Cassius Everett Doster, Jaden Jack Drummer, Johnnie June Drummer, Evelyn Jo Kocisko, Aubrey Jude Doster, Peyton Walker Doster and Isabel Ray Kocisko; parents, Wayne Mark Doster, Sr. and Jo Doster; mother-in-law, Azilee Wilson; sister, Toni (Tom) Repko; nieces, Gabriella and Bryanna Repko; nephew, Greyson Repko; many cousins in PA, NY and SC; and host of friends and family.
Wayne was laid to rest on Tuesday, July 11th at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be offered to the American Cancer Society at www.donate.cancer.org.
