Warren George Voegeli known to his family as "Boppee" and close friends "Corky" passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on August 2, 2022. Born on March 10, 1925 in Bangor, MI. As a child Warren moved to St. Petersburg, FL with his parents George and Jorene. He graduated from St. Petersburg High School before joining the Navy during World War II. He spent most of his service in the Pacific Theater and served on ships and carriers including the USS General Leroy Eltinge and USS Croatan. After the war Warren taught electronics at Dixie Hollins High School for many years. An avid pilot he loved flying his AirCoupe around Central and North FL. He could often be found at Albert Whitted Airport spending time with his fellow pilots. Warren was a man of faith and longtime congregant of Center for Spiritual Learning. He stayed active in his later years practicing yoga, swimming, biking, running, dancing and traveling with his longtime partner Fran and participating in triathlons well into his 80's. Warren was preceded in passing by his wife Donna. He is survived by his children Michael (Valerie) Dennany, Pamela (Mark) Casey, James (Katherine) Dennany, and Jeffrey Voegeli; grandchildren Nicholas, Jennifer, Brian, Laura, Kevin, Sarah, Rachel, Andrew and Max and 13 great grandchildren.
