Warren A. Burgess Jr., 91 of Nashua, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 19th, 2021.
He was born in Arlington, MA on January 9, 1930 to the late Florence (Hawley) and Warren A. Burgess, Sr. He was raised and attended schools in Arlington, MA., and raised his own family in Westford, MA.
Warren served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and then worked as a machinist for most of his adult life. He worked for Green Instruments, Inc in Cambridge, MA for many years.
When he wasn't working, he was an avid bird watcher and gardener, and enjoyed caring for animals--including pygmy goats and his beloved Italian greyhounds--watching the Boston Bruins, and solving crossword and other puzzles.
Along with his parents, Warren was predeceased by his sister Eleanor Carroll.
Warren will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Mary T. (Carroll) Burgess; his brother Robert; his sons Brian Burgess and Glen Burgess and wife Jenn Monroe; four grandchildren, Crystal, Alicia, Kaitlyn, and Grace; seven great-grandchildren; and six nieces and five nephews.
Calling hours will be from 3-4 p.m. Friday, October 29th, 2021 with a funeral to immediately follow at 4 p.m. at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH.
