Wanda Thornsberry

Wanda Thornsberry passed away peacefully Thursday October 10, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 4, 1944, to the late Beryl and Mabel Hougland. She was preceded in death by her husband Steve, her son Steven Ray, brothers Robert and Gary Hougland, and sisters Lavonda Hougland, Patricia Hougland, June Kneisley and Linda Hinshaw. Wanda is survived by her children Sean (Lorrie) Thornsberry, Wendy (Wayne) Newman, Melissa (Charlie) Cantrell, Crystle (Pete) Keller as well as her grandchildren. Wanda truly believed that every day was a good day and she lived her life accordingly. She was a great mom, outstanding grandmother and is missed more than words could possibly say. We would like to give a special thank you to SOMC Inpatient Hospice for helping us through this unbearable process. A private service will be held by the family. Cox Burkitt Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
