Wanda M. Roth, 95 years old of Elkhart and formerly of Edwardsburg, passed to her rest on July 27, 2022 at Brentwood of Elkhart. Wanda was born Dec. 16, 1926 in Silver Lake, IN, the daughter of LeRoy and Elsie (Engle) Lindzy. She was a 1945 graduate of Mishawaka High School and remained active in the Alumni Association there. In the early 1950's Wanda moved to Edwardsburg where she spent the majority of her adult life.
Wanda was married Sept. 1, 1951 in Mishawaka to Leo Edward Roth, a devoted husband and father who cherished Wanda until his own passing on June 28, 2010. Surviving are their children, Stephen (Deb) Roth of Kalispell, MT, Pamela (George) Hanson of Longwood, FL, and Philip (Cindy) Roth of Elkhart; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren, and a sister, Joyce Marchant of Mishawaka. Wanda is also survived by her bonus foreign exchange student daughter, Marianne Jusslin, of Denmark. Family who preceded her in passing are her parents, her beloved husband, her sister, Betty Sargent, and two brothers, Carl and Charles Lindzy.
Wanda was a devout member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. Wanda was an avid reader, a member of the Red Hat Society, and she stayed active with daily walks in her neighborhood well into her 90's. She and Leo enjoyed travel, with a special fondness for Las Vegas where she enjoyed the casino and the Rat Pack entertainment. Wanda loved and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, and all who knew her.
Family and friends may gather on Monday, Aug. 1, 2022 from 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 24832 US-12 East, Edwardsburg, where services will begin at 11:00 AM with Father Raj J. Nathan, Pastor, officiating. Wanda will be laid to rest with her husband, Leo, at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
