Wanda E. Fox, age 87, and longtime resident of Rockwall, TX, passed away on May 17, 2021. She was born March 8, 1934, in Dallas, TX, to Robert Tiner, Sr. and Verna (Fisher) Tiner. Wanda graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and continued her education at North Texas State where she met her husband, Bill. Wanda worked for Southwestern Bell after college. She and Bill raised their family in Dallas, where she was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Service Sorority. They were the owners of Optical Warehouse in Rockwall. She was a member of the Rockwall Women's League and she attended Holy Trinity by the Lake Episcopal Church. Wanda loved to take care of her house and her family. She loved having a clean home. Wanda will be deeply missed. Wanda is survived by her son: Greg Fox and wife, Alison, of Heath, TX; grandchildren: Will Fox and wife, Sarah, of Dallas, TX, Anne Abston and husband, Tanner, of Dallas, TX, and Sam Fox of Heath, TX; nieces: Linda Dove and husband, Jerry, of Wylie, TX, Kay Dale and husband, Jim, of Sunnyvale, TX, Kim James and husband, Billy, of Krum, TX, Pat Williams of Houston, TX, Lainey Stevens and husband, Scott, of Longview, TX, and Georgia Payton and husband, Mauri, of Southlake, TX; sister-in-law: Trudy Godsey of Longview, TX; and numerous other relatives and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years: Bill Fox; her parents: Robert and Verna Tiner; sisters: Aggie Lane, and Marjorie McKinsey; and brother: Robert Tiner, Jr. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Holy Trinity by the Lake Episcopal Church, with Father Keith Turbeville officiating. Interment will follow in Rockwall Memorial Cemetery.
