Wanda Margaret Crouse, 92, of Mexico, Missouri (formerly of Havre de Grace, Maryland), died Saturday, January 1, 2022 in The King's Daughters Home, where she has resided for the past several years. Wanda (known by many as 'Peggy') was born November 19, 1929, in Washington, PA. She was one of three daughters and two sons of the late Vincent and Veronica Carr. Wanda was married to Page Mack Crouse (deceased in 1988) in 1951. She was a wonderful partner to Page as an Air Force wife; they worked as a team moving their family around the world together. Although Wanda did not graduate from high school, she later completed her GED and took many college courses reflecting her love of and respect for learning throughout life. Wanda was a solid Christian and was devoted to teaching children and adults about salvation through Jesus Christ's sacrifice for our sins - which reconciles us to our eternal relationship with God, the Father. Wanda was actively involved with CEF training for children, taught children's Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, and sang in the choir as well as performed solo in every church she attended. As an elderly widow, Wanda went to the defunct USSR with a Baptist group to hand out Bibles and discipleship materials to people on the streets, who were begging for these materials. Her family was extremely proud of her journey to do this work at that time in her life. Wanda also was a very successful Tupperware manager for many years. The most important thing in her life, after her love of God, was her love of her children. She was a devoted and amazing mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Wanda is survived by her three daughters, Linda Sue O'Toole, Dr. Debra Ann Crouse, and Tami Diane Miller, M.S., and her son, Philip Dale Crouse. Also her grandsons, Mark Aaron Crouse, and Michael Page Crouse, and her great grandson, Nathan Neal Crouse and her great granddaughter, Bridget Virginia Crouse. Wanda is also survived by many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Deceased in addition to her parents are two brothers, Orlando Carr and Vincent Carr, and two sisters, Rose Giardino and Mary Danley. Wanda did not want a funeral or memorial other than a small meeting of immediate family, which was held on Friday, January 7, 2022. She was interred next to Page at Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD. Donations in Wanda's memory may be given to Gideons International, P.O. Box 14800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800; 615-564-5000; www.gideons.org , according to her wishes as stated in her will. Wanda's family wishes to thank the entire staff of The King's Daughters Home for their warmth, love and wonderful dedication to the best care she could have ever received.
