Mr. Walter Edgar Doering, age 85 of Clinton, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and had worked in maintenance at Anheuser-Busch. Walter was retired from the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam Era. He was the recipient of the Paul Harris Foundation award for his work and contribution to the Rotary Club.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Doering of Clinton, son Jimmy Doering of Vallejo, CA, step-son, James Thomas of St. Louis, MO, brother, Kenneth Doering of St. Louis, MO, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter T. and Edna C. Boehme Doering, daughter, Deborah Doering, son, Kevin Doering, 1 brother and 2 sisters.
Funeral services for Walter will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Paducah, KY with Pastor David Appold and Pastor James Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call after 9:00 AM on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Paducah.
