Vyda Limpus, 92, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Greensburg, IN.
She was born June 5, 1929 in Goshen, IN to Gordon Goodman and Ethel (Gagnon) Goodman. She married Ora Limpus in November 9, 1946.
Vyda attended Beauty College in Columbus, IN. After college, she became a self-employed hair dresser, and worked at Marsh Supermarket, until retiring in 2009. Vyda was a member of the Home Economics Club and attended Lewis Creek Baptist Church. She will be forever missed for her great sense of humor.
Vyda is survived by her daughter, Debra (Pete) Cunningham and daughter-in-law, Sandy Limpus, grandchildren, Michelle Tritipo, Anita Sipes, and Angela Cunningham, great-grandchildren, Luke Sipes, Hyatt Thurston, Elise Sipes, and Clair Sipes, brother, Jack Goodman, and sisters, Lois Cripe, Beverly Boxell, Linda Solomen, and Sharon Burnard.
Vyda was preceded in death by her husband, Ora Limpus, son, Edwin Limpus and sisters, Eileen Rush and Shirley Tritipo.
Visitation will be from 10am to 11:30am., Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Lewis Creek Baptist Church, 1400 E 600 S, Waldron, IN. Funeral service to follow with Reverend Harvey Taylor officiating. Burial will be in at Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery.
