Vivian Irene Coe Warner, 102, died January 9, 2023 at Somerford House in Frederick, MD. She was the wife of F. Sterling Warner who died June 17, 1992.
Born January 20, 1920 near New Windsor, MD and lived in New Windsor until moving to Lewistown, MD in 1950. She moved to assisted living at Somerford House in September 2016.
Preceded in death by parents, Ralph T. Coe and Carrie R. Poole Coe; stepmother, Pearl Benedict Coe; siblings, Ellsworth Coe, Ruth Curfman, Betty Bohn, and Catherine Canfield; and daughter-in-law, Colleen Warner.
Survived by children, Rebecca Wenger of York, PA, Frank Warner and wife, Donna, of Thurmont, MD, Janet Cline and husband, Don, of Frederick, MD, and Karl Warner of Cooksville, MD; grandchildren, Greggory Warner and wife, Anna Lisa of Thurmont, MD, Amy Hoffman and husband, Ryan, of Brunswick, MD, Aaron Wenger of Washington, DC, Nathan Wenger of Carle Place, NY, and Mary Kate Sincero and husband, Robert, of Washington, DC; step granddaughter, Laura Hunovice of Westminster, MD; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Abby Polesky, Ryan Lee Hoffman, Colton and Delaney Warner, Alexa and Olivia Wenger, and Warner Sincero; and step great-granddaughter, Alyson Hunovice.
Vivian was a longtime member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren where she attended the Homebuilders Sunday School class, Women's Fellowship, and Service Guild. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, preparing food for the Lewistown Fire Department dinners, playing cards and games, and working on crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
The family gives our heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at Somerford House for the care they provided and for hospice services given by BridgingLife of Carroll County.
Visitation with family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Frederick Church of the Brethren, 201 Fairview Ave, Frederick, MD with Rev. Lerry Fogle officiating. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Frederick Church of the Brethren or BridgingLife, 292 Stoner Ave, Westminster, MD 21157. Expressions of sympathy may be offered to the family at StaufferFuneralHome.com.
