Vivian Snellgrove Hardwick, 91 of Cuthbert passed away on Sunday July 21, 2024, at her residence in Cuthbert. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday July 27, at 11:00 AM in the Cuthbert First Baptist church with the Rev. Tom McClendon and Rev. Nathan Ziglar officiating. A private interment services will be conducted in Eastview Cemetery in Cuthbert. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until funeral time in the church on Saturday.
Mrs. Hardwick was born June 15, 1933, in Coffee Springs, AL the daughter of the late Kenith White Snellgrove and the late Mary Lois Spears Snellgrove. She was a graduate of Coffee Springs High School and a retired owner and operator of Dixie Discount in Cuthbert. She was a member of the Cuthbert First Baptist Church where she served as a church hostess, a member of the Cuthbert Pilot Club and served on the board of the Cuthbert Library. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles Douglas Hardwick.
Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Lee Hardwick (Ben) Carmichael of Atlanta, 3 grandchildren, Charles B. (Jehae) Carmichael, Katrina L. (Barton) Hodges and Christopher A. Carmichael, a great grandson, Abraham Benjamin Carmichael, a great granddaughter, Evelyn Lane Carmichael and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cuthbert First Baptist Church P. O. 274 Box Cuthbert, GA 39840.
