Vivian Rose Smith, 90, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, March 26, 2021 at her home.
She was a native of Daviess County, IN, and was a founding member of Elizabethtown Baptist Church. She was known as the "cake lady" and provided cakes for many community celebrations for 15 years prior to becoming a registered nurse. She retired from Hardin Memorial Hospital after 21 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edgar Smith; a son, Steven L. Nall; a daughter, Nancy Miller Haycraft; her parents, Walter and Marian Jordan McCullough; a sister and an infant brother.
She is survived by three sons, Tom (Denise) Miller of Elizabethtown, Mike (Donna) Miller of Vine Grove, and Arthur Miller of Rineyville; four daughters, Carol (Don) Brooks of Berea, KY, Brenda (Bob) Brown of Glendale, Alice (Bob) Hartman of Seymour, IN, and LeeAnne (Roy) Williams of Bardstown; a step-son, Roger Smith of Lebanon Junction; a sister, Clara (Dub) Rhodes of Shepherdsville; 30 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. William Acton and Rev. Ryan Acton officiating. Burial will follow in Hardin Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Monday and continues after 12 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
