Virginia Garrett Oltremari, 86, of Southaven, MS, passed away on September 26, 2021, where she spent her final days surrounded by her large and loving family. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 29, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church (785 Church Rd. West, Southaven, MS 38671). A funeral mass will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. also at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery (1663 Elvis Presley Blvd., Memphis, TN 38106). Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is in charge of arrangements in Southaven, MS.
Virginia was born in Vaiden, MS, to William and Virginia Scott Garrett on March 25, 1935. She spent the majority of her life raising her family in Greenville, MS, in both St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Schools. She grew to be an amazingly dedicated Christian homemaker who always put her family first. Mrs. Oltremari always felt that her purpose in life was to take care of her family and her friends. She was an avid reader and worker of puzzles. She enjoyed traveling to new places, especially in Europe. She was an amazing woman, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Oltremari is preceded in death by her parents, William and Virginia Scott Garrett.
Mrs. Oltremari leaves behind her loving husband of 55 years, Raymond Oltremari of Southaven; her three sons, Gregory (Brandy) Oltremari of Southaven, and Barry (Jennifer) Oltremari and Andrew (Elizabeth) Oltremari, both of Germantown, TN; her seven grandchildren; her brothers, Bill (Carolyn) Garrett of Germantown and Sam (Rose) Garrett of Dumfries, VA; and her sister, Judy Harland of Elberta, AL.
The family asks that memorial contributions in Mrs. Virginia Garrett Oltremari's name may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church (785 Church Rd W, Southaven, MS 38671).
