Virginia L. Hillin of Edmonds passed quietly in the early morning hours of April 16th, She was 94.
She was born November 24, 1927, to Joel and Elsie Robbins of Seattle. She was a graduate of Ballard High School and was a competitive ice skater with the Seattle Skating Club. She worked at Edmonds Community College as a Program Manager and was very active in both her church and the Ballard Elks. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, and traveling.
Virginia met and fell in love with a tall Texan, Harvey (Bob) Hillin and married in 1947. Virginia and Bob raised a family in Ballard and Edmonds and built a summer home on Camano Island where they spent many happy days with their children, Jay, Jody, and Jamie.
Some years after Bob passed, Virginia met Jack Larson also an alumni of Ballard High School and member of the same church. Virginia and Jack married in 1993. They spent their time between Edmonds and a winter home in Arizona and traveled extensively for many happy years. As age demanded greater care, Virginia and Jack moved last year to Sunrise of Edmonds Senior Living where Jack remains a resident.
