Virginia Lee Grosh, 89, passed away Friday February 12, from complications of colon cancer. Born in Baltimore to Robert and Mary Foley Smith, she was the youngest of 6 siblings
.
Married 61 years to Charles, they were inseparable. She worked 35 years at Procter and Gamble (Baltimore) and took early retirement as an executive secretary. After retirement she and Charles traveled extensively, ranging from La Paz, Bolivia to Denali National Park. When not traveling abroad, they were active members of the Alberg 30 Association, cruising and racing throughout the Chesapeake Bay.
Ginny enjoyed cooking and painting. A talented knitter, she kept her family in sweaters, hats, and footies.
She is survived by her son Michael and wife Karen, of Wittman, Md; her granddaughters; Claire Twigg and husband Geoff and their children Jane and Ellie of Salisbury, MD; and Sarah Grosh of Onancock, VA.
