Virginia M. Deruelle, 98, of Delmont, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 30, 2022, in her home, with her family by her side. She was born Nov. 1, 1923, in Export, a daughter of the late Frank E.L. and Leona (McCoy) Turney. Virginia was a member of Delmont Presbyterian Church. She was the owner of Ginny's Restaurant of Export and started the Delmont Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Deruelle; a son, Robert; a brother, Art; and a granddaughter, Kim. Virginia will be dearly missed by her children, Linda L. Wahl, of Delmont, and Rick (MaryAnn) Deruelle, of Saltsburg. She was a loving grandmother of Dennis, Kevin and his companion, Tracy, Ashley (Justin), Adam and his fiancee, Kaylea, Robert Jr. (Debbie), Lynn and Chris; and loving to all her great-grandchildren; and her special daughter, Roseann March. Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, 724-468-1177. A funeral service for Virginia will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park.
