Brattleboro - Virginia "Ginny" Dalrymple, 85, of Mountain Home Park, went to be with her Lord and Savior April 28, 2022. She was born in Island Pond, VT on July 11, 1936 to Clifton and Donna (Frasier) Colburn.
She graduated from Portsmouth NH High School in 1954. On March 27, 1955 she was married to Ralph "Joe" Dalrymple who died in 2003. Ginny was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, always sacrificing for others. For many years she ran a daycare in her home. She became known to many as Gram Gin.
After the passing of her husband, she enjoyed traveling with her friends. She had a love of flower gardens and house plants.
A woman of strong faith, she was a member of the West Brattleboro Baptist Church for 57 years.
Ginny leaves behind three daughters, Wanda (Richard) Smith, Christine Gerbasi and Kim (Paul) Therrien; four grandsons, Rick and Michael Smith and Butch and Christopher Leno; two granddaughters, Rachel and Hannah Therrien; 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Celia Latham; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Thomas.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Hollis Colburn, a sister, Lee Waters and two daughters who died in infancy.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 14th at 11:00 a.m. at West Brattleboro Baptist Church, with Pastor Steve McClelland officiating. A luncheon will then be held in the church's downstairs fellowship area. Graveside services will follow the luncheon in West Halifax Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
