Virginia E. Briddes died January 28, 2023 after a 5 month battle with glioblastoma. She passed away peacefully in the arms of her wife and partner of 34 years, Beth Kammer. Ginni was born in Darby, Pennsylvania on February 23, 1950 to Henry and Janet (Gordon) Briddes. She graduated from Ridley Township High School and later from Shippensburg University. In 1996, she earned a Master's degree in Hospital Administration.
Growing up, Ginni had many fond memories of summers in Beach Haven, NJ, working in a gift shop on the Ocean City boardwalk and entertaining her nieces with her row boat, "Slow Gin."
Ginni resided in Harrisburg, PA for 43 years. She began her career at Harrisburg Hospital as a Laboratory Technician; she later transitioned into an informational IT Project Manager, implementing Clinical Information Systems throughout the US.
Her joys included family, friends, yearly ski trips to Colorado, driving her convertible, caring for her horse, dog and cats, British murder mysteries, golf, swim aerobics, quilting and chocolate.
She traveled to all 50 states and enjoyed several trips to Ireland and Great Britain, including attending the 2019 Solheim Cup in Scotland. In 2022, Ginni and Beth took what was to be their last trip, traveling to Paris and on a Rhine Riverboat Viking cruise. They often marveled at how perfect this experience was.
Ginni was kind, intelligent, resilient, warm hearted and loyal. She clearly loved her friends and family.
In addition to her wife, Ginni is survived by sisters, Susan Adams (George, deceased), Peggy Suchorski, (Ken,deceased), sister-in-law Jill Bradbury (David), nieces and nephews, George Pastor (Theresa), Henry Pastor, Stephanie Perry (Art), Timothy Adams (Donna), Suzanne Ramos, Lisa Nugent (Steve), Janet Adams, Jennifer Bertucco (Bob), Jennifer Schweikert (Gedd) and Jonathan Bradbury (Nikki).
