Victoria A. Peralez, 87, of Defiance, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born on March 6, 1934 to the late Gavino and Rosa (Perez) Arellano in Brownsville, Texas. Victoria worked at General Motors for 25 years until her retirement in 1995. Victoria attended Bethel Worship Center and St. John Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, watching Spanish soap operas, and attending Sunday worship services, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Victoria is survived by her sons Valente Peralez, Jr. (JoAnn Gonzalez) of Toledo, Eduardo (Norma) Peralez of Norman, OK, Daniel Peralez of Defiance, and Joe (Grace) Peralez of Savannah, GA, and her daughters, Lucy (Jesus) Moreno of Cecil, and Melissa (Jose) Vazquez of Chicago, IL, grandchildren Vanessa and Tony Peralez, Anjelica Moreno, Nicole Peralez, Miranda and April Peralez, several great-grandchildren, her sister Rose Adkins of Tennessee, and her brother, Mario Arellano of Alabama..
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Valente Peralez Sr., and her siblings; Gavino Jr., Marie "Juanita" Bradford, Guadelupe "Lupe" Martinez, Margarita Gomez, Ignacio "Nash" Arellano, Juan Arellano, and Faustino "Tino" Arellano.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Bethel Worship Center in Defiance. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 am at the church, with Pastor Rosie Perez officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Defiance.
