Memorial Services for Victor Zweber, 86, of Aberdeen will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 12th at Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton. Pastor Diane Hoines will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Homer Cemetery, Pierpont.
Visitation will be held at the funeral chapel on Friday from 5-7 p.m.
Vic passed away June 4, 2021 at his home in Aberdeen.
Victor Marvin Zweber was born on June 12, 1934 in Aberdeen to V.M. and Mary (Kunert) Zweber. He attended school in Aberdeen and graduated from Central High School in 1952.
Vic worked in sales most of his workings years. In the early years, he sold farm machinery for several Implement Dealerships in Aberdeen and the surrounding farm communities. His final employment, prior to retirement, was selling cars for Harr Motors in Aberdeen.
On July 30, 1970, he was united in marriage with JoAnn Stolsmark. They made their home in Aberdeen except for a few years living in the Pierpont area. Vic was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the Elks, the Moose and the Aberdeen Country Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, visiting with friends and he loved dancing and singing.
Celebrating his life is his wife, JoAnn of Aberdeen, his daughters from an earlier marriage, Catherine Moncrieffe and Karen Barry and her husband Tony Broom, all of Portland, Oregon, three granddaughters, one grandson, 2 great-grandsons, his Stolsmark in-laws, one sister-in-law, Alma Zweber of Yankton and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, 4 brother and 5 sisters.
