Victor P. Pauplis was born in East Millinocket, ME on April 4, 1930 and died in Millinocket, ME on March 14, 2022. He was the son of Peter Pauplis and Amelia Ambrose Pauplis Pray and step son of Alton Pray.
Victor graduated from Schenck High School in 1947 and then served in the Air Force for 4 years. After discharge he returned to East Millinocket and worked in the Great Northern Paper Co until he retired in 1987.
He played basketball with the Millinocket Pills and was on the local softball team. He coached little league baseball for many years, played cards at the pitch club, was a member of the Knights of Columbus and spent many years at camp on Cedar Lake.
He was predeceased by his parents and step father, grandparents, aunts and uncles and 4 step siblings.
He is survived by 3 sisters Lorraine Letteney, Duska Parsons and Wilda Green, 6 nephews Richard and Victor Letteney, Mark and Peter Nason and Kenneth and Thomas Parsons, 2 nieces Deanne Proper and Carol Fitts, several great and great-great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services with be held on April 23 at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish (St. Peters) 56 Cedar Street, East Millinocket at 11:00. Visitation will be at 10:00 at the church and reception to follow Mass.
