Victor Eugene McFadden, Sr, 91, passed away Monday, November 29, at the home of his son, Larry. He passed away surrounded by family. Vic, as he was affectionately known, was born on December 12, 1929 in Quitman, Miss. to Maude Scott and W.P. McFadden. In 1954 he married the love of his life, Clara Nause. Vic started his career as a letter carrier in Meridian in 1948 eventually became a Postal Inspector. Vic, Clara and their children moved through various promotions from Mississippi to Greenville, S.C. and finally to Charlotte, NC. He was a Mason and active in his church. He enjoyed playing golf and gardening. Vic's greatest achievements have been in the lives of his family and friends. He had a unique gift to make anyone comfortable with his infectious laugh and sense of humor. His generous heart filled his home with love, fun, family and friends. He leaves all his family with the knowledge that they were truly loved and they know that he loved the Lord. Vic is survived by his brother Allen, his four children, Gene (Carol), Larry (Mary), Lisa and Glenn. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren and six great-grand-children.
