Victor Theodore Marcais, 80, of Chantilly, VA, left this earth to be with the Lord on June 16, 2022. Victor was born in Mayfield, NY on February 5, 1942 to Victor Martin Marcais and Frances Charlotte DeGrush. Victor married Song Cha Yi on February 5, 1983 in Indianapolis, IN.
He enlisted in the US Army in 1963, and retired as a Sergeant Major in 1986 after serving tours in Vietnam, Germany, and Korea. His final posting was at Fort Belvoir, Va where he retired and remained with his family. After his retirement, he worked as a federal employee supporting the US Department of Commerce Patent and Trademark office as a data center manager.
Victor was a highly decorated US Army combat veteran receiving multiple medals, ribbons, and citations. His hobbies included reading, fishing, and spending time with his family. On June 5, 1988, he accepted the Lord as his Saviour and served as an active member of Heritage Baptist Church for 34 years, attending services and participating in ministries as often as he could.
Victor is predeceased by his parents Victor Marcais and Frances DeGrush, and his brothers Thomas Marcais, Alan Marcais, and David Marcais. He is survived by his loving wife, Song Cha Marcais; his son, Jonathan Lee Marcais (Kristina Marcais, Harper Marcais); his daughter Jennifer Lee Fontane (Alan Fontane, Jordan and Julian Fontane), his sisters: Mary Marcais and Julie Bishop, and nieces and nephews.
