Services for Victor Ceasar Astwood will be held at Petersburg Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021.
Victor passed away March 26, 2021 after a long battle with heart complications. He was under hospice care.
He was the fourth child born to Charles Eric Astwood and Adela Socias Astwood on April 15, 1932. He graduated from Red Bank New Jersey. He also graduated from the Aero Nautics Academy at Long Island City, New York.
Victor served in the Korean War with the Air Force. After being honorably discharged, he worked as a civilian employee for the Air Force. He retired as an aircraft inspector for Reese AFB. After this retirement, he worked for Lubbock Aircraft. His greatest thrill was getting to go on the Honor Flight in 2014.
He married Sue Kathryn Case in Plainview on December 18, 1955. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Rosemarie; sons, Michael and wife Shirley, Charles, John and wife Kristy, and Andrew. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth Astwood; grandsons, Anthony and wife Bernadette, Alden, Chris and wife Kaylee, Colton and wife Addie, Conner; two great grandsons; brother, Edwin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Melanie; and brothers, Charles and Edgar.
