It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Vicenta "Chenta" Mora Robles.
Vicenta passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 with her daughters at her side.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy (husband Peter) Hernandez, Patti (husband Ramon) Urrutia, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two brothers Magdalena and Isidoro Mora, also numerous nephews and nieces.
Vicenta is preceded in death by her husband Billy Robles and her two sons, Larry and Johnny Robles.
Vicenta was born on January 22, 1935 to Teodoro and Jessie Prado Mora. She attended our local schools in Santa Paula making many beloved lifelong friends. She graduated from Santa Paula High School and went on to study Cosmetology in Los Angeles and received her cosmetology license. Vicenta volunteered for many years in the Santa Paula Elementary School District before becoming an employee working directly with children, and making it a career spanning more than forty years.
In 1982 she graduated from Ventura Community College and went on to receive her degree from California State University Northridge.
Vicenta was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church where she also taught Catechism for many years. She loved to spend time with family and friends, whether it was spending time at the park, the beach or at the homes of her daughters. She never said no to a birthday party invitation or a wedding. She loved taking drives with her daughters and her son-in-laws. She was always ready to "Go."
..."yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: For thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me."
"Mama we will miss you so much. You will be forever in our hearts!"
