Verna had her dream job for 67 years being a mom, grandma, and great-grandma. Verna's life was a true example of what it means to be selfless. She was selfless with her time, her energy, her love, her attention, her finances and her snacks. Verna loved to go out to eat, shop, clean, babysit, and visit her relatives. Above all else, she loved her family and was the glue that kept them all together. If you want to remember Nanny-- Do a kind deed, pay it forward, eat a big bowl of ice cream and have a root beer. The family would like to extend a huge thank you to Heartland Hospice, especially her angels on earth, Desi, Monica, Kelly, Lori and Kristie. They would also like to thank Dr. Basala for his care. Friends and family will be received Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 9:30 am until the time of service at 11:00am, at Somerset Church of the Brethren, 606 Berlin Plank Road, Somerset, PA 15501.
