Mr. Vaughn Alan Mullet, 74, of Newnan, GA, formerly of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. He was born July 4, 1950 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Carl Mullet & Janeith Merrill Mullet. Vaughn grew up in Mansfield, Ohio, and was a 1968 graduate of Madison High School. He had three loves in his life: God, music, and his family. Vaughn was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints both in Mansfield and in Newnan and loved the gospel of Jesus Christ. He loved all kinds of music from Classical to Rock-n-Roll and everything in between. During Junior High and High School, he was in a band called the Wesley Allyn Quintet and played the accordion. The band served as house band for Snow Trails Ski Resort for a time. In 1966, while they were still in High School, he met the love of his life, Nancy Theaker Mullet. They were married in the Spring of 1970 and recently celebrated 54 years of marriage. They created a beautiful family together. He adored his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren leaving a legacy of kindness, love, faith, and music to each of them. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Theaker Mullet; daughter, Jennifer Schaefer & husband Harry; son, Timothy Mullet & wife Amanda; son, Stephen Mullet & wife Tasha; daughter, Sarah Adkins & husband Bryan; sister, Dee Scott; 9 grandchildren, Harrison, Hannah, Thera, Jacob, Emma, Tyler, Jade, Sarah, & Lawson; two great-grandchildren, Gordon & Daisy; and many wonderful friends. The memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 821 Old Atlanta Highway, Newnan, GA, with Bishop Kalob Williams officiating.
