Vanessa Arlene (Stanback) McCrae, 63 of Dunnwood Hills Drive, Matthews, departed this earthly life on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at her residence. She was born November 21, 1958, in Cabarrus County to the late James Calvin Stanback and the late Mary Louise Blackmon Stanback.
Vanessa was educated in the Cabarrus County School System and a graduate of A.L. Brown High School. She was formerly employed with the Kannapolis, Charlotte Mecklenburg, and Matthews Police Departments.
Service will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Living Water Church of God, 166 N. Little Texas Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083. Visitation will be 200 PM-3:00 PM with services at 3:00 PM
She leaves to cherish her fond memories, her husband, Daniel McCrae of the home; three sons, John Maurice Stanback of Charlotte, Phillip Stanback (Crystal) of Matthews, Corie Stanback of Matthews; two daughters, Chassity Stanback of Matthews, Latissua Barnhardt of Charlotte; step daughter, Donisha McCrae of Charlotte; 18 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four brothers, James Hubert Stanback of Kannapolis, Roddy Stanback (Judy) of Stafford, VA, Harvey Stanback of Charlotte, Mitchell Dean Stanback of Kannapolis; one sister, Patricia Grant (Bobby) of Charleston, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Due to Covid-19 Masks are appreciated if worn to all services.
