Vance entered this world on December 3, 1956 in Conroe, Texas to longtime Conroe residents Patricia Grogan Letbetter and Johnny Letbetter.
Vance passed away on May 18, 2024 in Houston, Texas. He was living in Kemah next to his daughter, Ashley at the time of his passing.
Vance was preceded in death by his mother and father, Patricia Grogan Letbetter and Johnny Letbetter.
He is survived by two daughters, Ashley Green and her daughter, Chloe Green and Kayce Tipton and her son, Jace Arthur; Siblings: Paul Deane and his wife, Pam and their children, Nicole and husband, Taylor Cechin and Brittany and husband Rob Kavchok; and Tricia Matthews and husband, Robby and their children, Grogan Matthews and wife, Ashlunn and their son, Parker and Joshua Matthews; many other dear relatives and friends also survive.
Vance grew up in Conroe and graduated from Conroe High School in 1975. He leaves behind two beautiful daughters. He had a successful career in the oil field industry and retired in 2020. In 2007, Vance accepted the Lord and found joy in helping others. He inspired hundreds through music ministry while welcoming all with open arms. His positive, fun character touched many hearts. Vance's uplifted spirit could always make you laugh and embraced strangers as friends. He faithfully led many Celebrate Recovery groups, was ordained a Pastor and was a music minister with Acts of Worship Ministry.
Vance officiated numerous funerals, giving spiritual comfort to the grieving families.
He was honored to have performed over 15 wedding ceremonies during his ministry and in 2020 was so humbled to be able to officiate his nephew, Grogan and Ashlunn's wedding.
