Van R. Winn, 92, passed away on July 8, 2022, in Tyler, TX Mr. Winn proudly served as a Sergeant First Class in the Korean War. After his service in the war, he returned to Shreveport, LA, where he worked for Pioneer Bank & Trust until his retirement after 40 years of service. Mr. Winn was predeceased by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Winn, his sister, Kermit Vance, and his beloved wife, Betty C. Winn. He is survived by his daughters, Melody Winn Holly of Winona, TX and Amy Winn Easley and husband, Paul of Southlake, TX. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Bryan Winn Bass of Marshall, TX, and Jennifer Simmans and husband, Bob of Arlington, TX. Mr. Winn is also survived by one great granddaughter, Isabelle Carnes of Montana and his sister-in-law, Judy Gisiner and husband Frank of Keller, TX, and one nephew, Michael Jarrett and wife Jessica of Mount Juliet, TN. and two nieces, Velvet Jordan from Dallas, Tx., and Karen Hammond, from Houston, TX. Mr. Winn was cherished, loved, and admired by his family and all who knew him. Services for Mr. Winn will be held at the Northwest LA Veterans Cemetery, Keithville, LA on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
