Valerie "Val" Pellegrino
Help us celebrate Valerie! Please share your stories and photos, and invite others who remember Valerie.
Valerie "Val" Walsh Pellegrino was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She left this world on October 14th, 2021 at age 75.
She was born to David and Virginia Delorey on February 14th 1946 where she lived in Waltham Mass. After graduating high school, she got right to work. She was very proud of her retail progression to senior buyer at McQuades of ladies wear and outerwear. She was a retail manager for many years and brought passion and compassion to those around her.
She met her first husband Scott Walsh at Grover Cronin in 1967. Together they had two children: Jason and Kimberly who gave her three grandchildren Kyre, Lily and Danielle. She became very active in the town politics on the water district and budget committee in Merrimack. While her children were young, she had a successful daycare where she shared her love with many children. She was an avid baker, mostly cookies. Sometimes she was known to wake up at 2:00 a.m. and bake! She loved to bring a treat to any event. She loved to make others happy through food or a kind listening ear. She was giving to a fault and would help anyone in need.
In her later years, she remarried to one of her close friends Tony Pellegrino and gained two stepchildren: Steve and Karen, and three grandchildren: Kelly Claire and Ethan. In her new venture of retirement, they enjoyed many trips "up to camp" and weekend getaways to the Cape. She greatly enjoyed her wine or a margarita and good times with those she loved.
Celebration of Life to be held Backyard Brewery in Manchester on November 14th from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
