Val J. Campbell, 58, of Somerset, passed on May 12, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born September 12, 1961 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Virginia (Kuglmaier) Campbell of Somerset, and the late Valentine Campbell. Val is survived by his mother; wife Jacqueline (Garrety) Campbell of Somerset; daughter Virginia Campbell of Somerset; granddaughters Mia, Belle, and Darby; sisters Brenda Judy (Tim) of Markleton, Linda Pugh (Dave) of Stoystown, and Karen Strother (Darrel) of Falls Church, VA; brother Robert Campbell of Somerset; and numerous nieces and nephews. Val was a long-time carpet installer in the Somerset Area. He was an avid golfer, and was a well-known guitarist in bands in the area. He was a social member of the Somerset VFW Post 554 and the Sons of the American Legion at Somerset Post 181.
