Urayna Hess McCall of Layton, Utah was called home on Thursday June 2, 2022.
She came to this world on July 9, 1936, in Brigham City, Utah as the daughter of Clarence Eugene Hess and Norma Loretta Larsen Hess.
She was married on November 15th, 1957 to Rupert Russell McCall Jr. in the Logan Utah temple.
In her life she lived in Maine, California, Utah, Arizona, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Okinawa. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and with her husband she served missions in Roanoke Virginia, Washington DC (temple), Charleston West Virginia, Ogden Utah, and twice at Fairfield nursing home. They were also long term temple workers in the Ogden Temple. Her love of family and her fellow man will be remembered by all who knew her.
Urayna was the youngest and last survivor of six siblings, Cherril (Bud) Hess Nelson, Elwin (Cleone) L. Hess, Wendell (Louise) Hess, Daryl Jean (Glen) Hess Yates, and JoAnn (Wray) Hess Squires.
She and Russell have four children, Russell McCall, Scott (Candelyn) McCall, Ronald (Chris-div.) McCall, and Melanie (Keri) McCall Bruce; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth (Cheslee) McCall Call, Christian (Katie) McCall, Samuel (Andrea) McCall, Rachael (James) McCall Brandenburg, Kacey (Katie) Bruce, Karlie (Shad) Bruce Hancock, Kirstie (Colton) Bruce Anderson, Kylie (Daniel “Scotty”) Bruce Chapman; and 15 great-grandchildren, Charles Call, Henry Call, George Call, Jackson McCall, Emma McCall, Caroline McCall, Abigail McCall, Rozen Bruce, Hunter Hancock, Remi Hancock, Addie Hancock, Taedyn Anderson, Ridge Anderson, Rowen Anderson, and Paisley Chapman.
She is proceeded in death by her parents; siblings; and two sons, (Russell and Ronald).
The funeral will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 789 Wasatch Drive, Layton Utah. Interment will be at the Brigham City Cemetery. The family will welcome friends and family at a viewing on Thursday, June 9, 2022, from 6 to 8 PM at the Myers Mortuary at 250 Fairfield Road. Layton Utah.
