Ugene C. Guss, loved by all who knew him, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2021. Born in 1927 in Rugby, North Dakota to Uria and Viola Guss, Ugene had five siblings and was known by "Jinx" or "Gene" to many. Moving to California at a young age, he attended Fullerton High and Fullerton Junior College, where he was a member of the track team. Ugene enlisted in the US Navy in 1945 and soon he met his sweetheart and future wife of over 70 years, Rosy (1929-2017). They were married in Las Vegas in 1946 and had two sons. Ugene owned a successful business, Hillcrest Tile, for fifty years, and after retiring to Las Vegas he spent his final years surrounded by family and friends. Ugene is survived his sons Michael and Steven (Kristie); his granddaughters, Jennifer and Elizabeth; and his great-granddaughter, Joslynn. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
