Tyriska Yvette Turner

A celebration of life for Our Daughter and Sister, Tyriska Yvette Turner, will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Growing Valley Baptist Church, with Rev Dr. Kelvin Lynch officiating.

Tyriska came into the world on January 21, 1965, to the parents of Louis Edward and Velma Bell Turner in Longview, Gregg County, Texas.

Tyriska was a member of Growing Valley Baptist Church. She worked in the Choir, Usher, Sunday School, BTU, Mission, and other Departments.

Graduating from the Gladewater ISD in 1983, Tyriska participated in many school activities such as Cheerleader, One Act Play, Drill Team, and Choir.

On Monday, January 13, 2026, Tyriska received a call from her Heavenly Father to come home, and she responded. There she will join her Father, Louis E. Turner, stepfather, DeQuence Clay, Sr., and Maternal Grandmother, Dorothy Mae Williams Bell. Tyriska will rest until the Redeemer returns at Grace Hill Cemetery in Longview

Tyriska will forever be in the hearts and minds of her Mother, Velma Bell Clay; Sisters, Valencetta Y. Clay, Felecia Turner, Rachel Turner; Brothers, Ja'Harial A. Clay, DeQuence O. Clay, Jr., Tracy Bonner.

The family will receive friends today at Growing Valley Baptist Church from 1 pm to 6 pm
