TSgt. David Edward "Buddy" Gillam, USAF (Ret.) of Goose Creek, SC went home to Jesus on July 27, 2021. He was surrounded by family. He was a faithful husband, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a longtime friend to many.
Buddy was born February 1, 1934, in Bamberg, SC, son of the late Laurie Gillam and Lizzy Gillam. His private funeral service has been completed. Interment with military honors were held at Carolina Memorial Park, Rivers Avenue, North Charleston. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.
Buddy was a 20 year U.S. Air Force Veteran and served in Korea and Vietnam. He loved the Lord and was a faithful member of his church. Buddy is survived by his sister Peggy Sineath; his children David and Carol Gillam, Kathy Coffey, and Patti and Bob Menges; as well as his ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 43 years, Phyl Gillam; his second wife of 13 years, Mary Gillam; and his brother and four sisters.
