AUTRY FUNERAL HOME
Troy Weldon Durrett born May 27, 1935 to Joe and Oletha (Weed) Durrett, entered eternal life on June 1, 2020. He was 85 years old.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Autry Funeral Home in Frankston. He will be laid to rest at Garden Oaks Memorial Park. Pastor Marco Johnson will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Autry Funeral Home, Frankston.
Troy was a deacon of Hilltop Baptist Church and a Sunday school teacher. After 28 years, he retired from Dowell Oil Service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and writing short stories and poems.
Troy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda Durrett; sister, Bobbie Bruney and his brother, Roy, who preceded him in death by 12 hours.
Left to cherish Troy's memory are his son, Phil Durrett and wife Sheryl of Louisiana and daughter, Susan Durrett of Florida. He is also survived by grandchildren Phillip Durrett and Kathryn Durrett; great grandson, Carter Durrett and numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Twin Oaks Nursing Home in Jacksonville where Troy was resident for 3 years.
