Trenton Gifford, 33, of Sheffield, Iowa, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. A celebration of life will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, June 18 at Zion St. John Lutheran Church in Sheffield. A public visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Counsell Woodley Funeral Home of Sheffield is caring for Trent and his family.
Trenton Lee William Gifford was born September 4, 1988, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to parents Chad and Dawn (Greve) Gifford. He started dating Tasha Ulrich in 2012, and the two fell in love. They were engaged December 5, 2015 and were married on July 2, 2017 at MercyOne in Mason City. They lived together in Sheffield.
Trent had a big heart and he loved his family dearly. Trent became disabled as the result of a car accident in 2015. He didn't let his disability stop him from doing the things he loved, and he knew he could do anything. Trent loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and boating in Clear Lake, and kayaking in the pond behind his home. He was also an avid hunter. Trent also loved his dogs dearly. He will be missed by his friends and family.
Left to cherish Trent's memory include his wife, Tasha Gifford; mother, Dawn (John) Perrott; father, Chad (Saundra) Gifford; grandmother, Elaine Gifford; brother, David (Karen) Gifford; stepbrothers, Brandon Perrott and Jeremy (Alicia) Perrott; brothers-in-law, Thomas Spaulding and Travis and Trevor Ulrich; nephew, Carsen Gifford; nieces, Vaelyn Gifford and Kaitlyn and Jaelyn Perrott; and his dogs, Tootsie and Tazzie.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Gary Gifford, grandparents Wally and Georgia (Williams) Greve, in-laws Troy and Kim (Evert) Ulrich, and his beloved dog Gabby.
