Torsten Ralph Pundt, born in Oldenburg, Germany on March 28, 1957 passed away in the early morning of May 20th, 2020 peacefully in his sleep at the age of 63.
Torsten is preceded in death by step-father Elton, brother Roland and father in law Kenneth. He is survived by his loving wife Lisa, two children; Daniel and Emma, his granddaughter Samantha, mother Walburga and two sisters; Claudia and Monica.
Torsten proudly served in the United States Army as a helicopter crew chief. He was a proud American and would do anything to defend his country and family. He married the love of his life Lisa on May 8, 1999. During these last 21 happy years of marriage they enjoyed camping trips, walks on the beach and time with their kids and granddaughter. He had a love of cars, particularly his 1967 Fastback Mustang, as well as Nascar and football. But most of all, his love of his family was greater than anything. He was an incredible father, a loving husband, a dedicated grandfather and a loyal friend.
Torsten was very proud of his family. He enjoyed watching his kids grow and was very excited to be a grandfather. He had many close people in his life that were his family, both related and unrelated.
After a recent trip with Lisa to Hawaii, he found a new love for warm beaches. Torsten was looking forward to being able to travel more in the upcoming years.
A graveside service for Torsten will be held on August 7, 2021 at 1:00pm at Hawthorne Memorial Park. Reception to follow at Hawthorne Funeral Home.
