Tony Curtis Morton, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at his home in Midlothian, Virginia.
He was born in Charlotte County, Virginia on December 31, 1954, to the late Edward V. Morton and Vera V. Morton. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Morton, Sister-In-Law, Donna Little and Mother-in-Law, Betty E. Watts.
Tony retired from Tropicana in Bradenton, Florida in 2016. He worked part-time at Cross Creek Nursery & Landscaping. He was the most loving, laid-back, funny person and he loved his family and friends. Tony had such a gentle, laid-back spirit and was loved by everyone from the moment they met him. Tony always loved helping others. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren. His great love, however, was spending time at the beach in Bradenton, Florida where he lived for 21 years before moving back to Virginia to help care for family.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, of 15 plus years; Stepdaughter, Krystal Swalinkavich; Brothers, Hugh Morton (Margie); William Morton (Carol); Tommy Morton and Randy Morton (Kwi); Sisters, Pattie Hanes (Scott); Helen Philbeck (Larry); and Dorothy Garrett; Brother-in-Laws, William Harrup Jr. (Ruth) and Randy Little, 3 Grandchildren, Alyza, Luna and Kairi. He was known as "papa" to all 3 granddaughters, and he had many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023, 12:00 P.M at "Philbeck's Music House" located at 6278 (23947) George Washington Highway, Keysville, VA.
