Toni L. Zamarripa Kraus, one of the most generous people the world has ever known, finished her race and entered her eternal home December 31, 2021. Toni was born July 7, 1944 in San Diego, California to Anthony and Pauline Zamarripa. She lived in several states during her life, settling in Marietta, GA.
Toni is the mother of 4 sons, Richard (Stephanie)Romanowski, Rob (Misty)Kraus, and Kenny Kraus. Her son, Sean M. Kraus, preceded Toni in death, as did sisters Kathleen Sandoval (Ernesto) and Paula Lucero (Bill). Toni is also survived by several grandchildren: Nicco Romanowski, Mason Kraus, Parker Kraus, Meghan Nenninger, Sarah Kraus, Declan Kraus, Delaney Kraus, Amanda Torbert, Ashton Howard, Ashlee Howard, Ansley Howard, siblings Sandra Zamarripa, Stephen (Deb) Zamarripa, Michael (Lisa) Zamarripa.
Toni was a proud member of the nursing profession, working for many years as a Registered Nurse. She retired from WellStar Cobb Hospital. Her caring and giving nature made her a favorite with her patients as well as co-workers.
Toni was a member of Liberty Church in Marietta, GA where she faithfully attended the Sunday 10am service. She was involved in serving the church in any way she could. She was well loved by everyone she spoke to, which was everyone. Children adored Toni and she always took time for them and adored them. Toni loved to bless others with her baking - everything from sourdough bread to cookies. You could see her carrying a bag of goodies for someone most Sundays. She was at her happiest when she was serving others.
A memorial, homegoing service will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022, 10am at Liberty Church, 1285 Cobb Pkwy North, Marietta GA 30062. The service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend.
