Tommy Perry Riley, 84, of Saluda, husband of Clara Davis, passed away on November 1, 2024, at his home.
Born August 3, 1940, in Saluda, SC, he was the son of the late Eugene Petus Riley and Pearl Force Riley. Until retirement he was a self-employed cattle and poultry farmer. He was a faithful member of Bethany Methodist Church. He loved traveling to many places, throughout the United States and abroad, especially after retirement.
He and his wife, Clara were married for 64 years. Surviving are three sons, Timothy Perry Riley (Dana), Michael Kevin Riley (Lisa), Anthony Craig Riley (Tavy) of Saluda, and one daughter; Deana Riley Iacono (Joe) of Buford, Georgia; ten grandchildren, Tyese Breanne Riley (Brittany) of Summerville, Tyler Phoenix Riley (Ashlyn), Drake Davis Riley (Carmen), Collin Michael Riley, Carson Perry Riley, Cameron Claire Riley Coleman (Thad), Zack Hendrix (Hailey) and Carmen Hendrix of Saluda, Shane Carter (Lindsey) of Asheville, N.C. and Hunter Carter (Cristy) of Hodges; eight great-grandchildren; Weslyn Jane Riley, Emerson Faye Riley, Sawyer Grace Coleman, Wylder Jace & Walker Hendrix of Saluda; Kylee and Remi Carter of Hodges, Mary Grace Martin of Hodges; and numerous of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary June Caldwell (Larry), Judy Caldwell Miller (John), Catherine Caldwell of Saluda; Rachel Caldwell Wise (Jake) of Prosperity; Fannie Mae Riley Vansant of Ward; brothers Maxey Caldwell (Carolyn) of Saluda; Carl Force Riley of Ninety Six; William Horace Riley of Atlanta, Ga.; Joseph Eugene Riley Marie) of Clearwater.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Bethany Methodist Church with Rev. Mark English and Rev. Edward Asbill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary one hour prior to the service.
The pallbearers will be Collin Riley, Carson Riley, Tyler Riley, Drake Riley, Hunter Carter, Shane Carter, and Thad Coleman.
