Tommy was born on January 2, 1960 to Mary Sue and RV Gipson in Abilene, TX. He graduated from Wylie High School in 1978 and obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from McMurry College in 1985. He taught and coached football, tennis and basketball for several years before deciding to open his own clothing store. Afterwards, he worked as an insurance adjuster. He was then offered an opportunity to work in Midland in the oil and gas industry. During that time, he started investing in real estate and eventually left the oil field to pursue real estate full time. He and his wife opened their own real estate company in 2010 and enjoyed that up until his death.
Tommy loved spending time with his family and friends. They were what mattered most to him. He also loved to watch football and root on his Texas Longhorns. In his spare time, you would find him either on the golf course, fishing or on his boat.
Tommy was generous in every way. He was always thinking of others and how he could help them. He had a true servant's heart.
