Tomie Edward Pritchard, 85, of Lubbock, Texas passed away at home, October 21, 2021.
Tomie was born December 15, 1935 in, Lakeview TX to Edward Pritchard and Jewel Dean Pritchard.
As a child Tomie enjoyed working on his grandparents' Potts, ranches, in Estelline, TX and Hedley, TX. He enjoyed showing cattle with his Uncle Tomie and Uncle James Potts. Tomie graduated from Hedley High School in 1954 and soon after enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he attained the rank of Corporal and honorably discharged in 1958. He returned to Lubbock and married Janelle Scott on October 15, 1960. Tomie and Janelle were blessed with a daughter and 2 sons. By trade, Tomie was employed for 45 years as a pressman for Caprock Business Forms. He was also self-employed as an upholsterer and owner of T & J Upholstery. Tomie and Janelle shared many memories in the local Square Dance club, and Round Dance clubs, serving as officers; and spent many hours playing games with family and friends. Upon retirement Tomie enjoyed reading, game nights, dancing, family get togethers' and attending church.
Loved ones include daughter Teresa Pritchard-Mann (Scott) of Hutchinson, KS; son Cameron Pritchard (Allison) of Lubbock, Grandchildren; Taylor Lent (Mason), of Wichita, KS; Chandler Mann, of Dallas, TX, Jewel Mann, of Branson, MO; Lucy Mann, of Lawrence, KS; Milla Williams (Brandon), of Amarillo, TX.; 2 great grand children and one due in March 2022; Pat Jennings (sister), of Tatum, NM and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by Janelle Pritchard (Wife), Edward Pritchard (Father), Todd Pritchard (Son), Jewel Dean Pritchard (Mother).

A celebration of his life will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 26, 2021 in Sanders Memorial Chapel with Scott Mann officiating. Graveside services will follow in City of Lubbock Cemetery.
