Todd Alan Ketchum, 56, of Kensington, husband of Kathy Ketchum, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at home.
Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late B.J. Ketchum and Beverly (Heinzmann) Ketchum. Todd was a former New Britain resident before moving to Kensington in 2001. He was formerly employed by the State of CT as a correction officer before retiring. Todd loved sports of many types, including UCONN Football, NY Giants and the Red Sox. When attending New Britain High School, Todd played center on the football team and was a member of the wrestling team. He enjoyed reading, walking, and spending time with his family; especially his new grandson Emerson.
In addition to his wife Kathy, Todd is survived by a son, Alex Ketchum of Washington State; two daughters, Kendra Cole and her husband Jonathan of New Milford, and Hailie Shaw of Kensington; a brother, Scott Ketchum and his husband, Peter Braunfield of Boca Raton, FL; his grandson, Emerson Cole; and his longtime friend, Stacie Phillips of Southington.
Todd was a very kind and thoughtful person who was dedicated to his family. Todd was a man of few words but would do countless thoughtful deeds for his family and friends. We will always cherish his memory and the wonderful person that he was. He has left us way too soon.
