Tina Wobbe 83 of Wabasha, MN, passed away December 1, 2021 at Gundersen - St. Elizabeth's Health Care Center, Wabasha.
Tina was born May 6, 1938 in Wabasha, to Albert and Helen (Passe) Wallerich. Tina attended Pepin Hill School and St. Felix Catholic School, graduating in 1956. She went on to St. Francis School of Nursing, now Viterbo University, La Crosse, and graduated in 1959 as a Registered Nurse. She worked at St. Francis Hospital in La Crosse before coming to work at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Wabasha from 1960 until she retired in 1995. After which, she served as a volunteer Guardian Angel at the hospital and helped.
On July 1, 1961 she married Joseph Wobbe at St. Felix Catholic Church. Together they farmed in rural Wabasha where they raised their family. Joseph died in 1984.
On June 24, 1989 Tina married John Schuth at St. Felix Church. John died in 2009.
Tina was a member of the Legion Auxiliary Post 50, as well as the VFW Auxiliary Post 4086, where she served as chaplain for many years. Tina was a member and officer of the Council of Catholic Women of St. Felix Church and served on the St. Felix Parish Council. She was also a member of the Wabasha County Sierra Club. Tina served on the Social Concerns committee. She enjoyed volunteering at St. Felix School and the faith formation program.
She also served as Eucharistic Minister at St. Felix Church, where she was a devout member. Tina was a member of the Pepin Hill Farmers Club, the Wabasha 500 Club, and the Senior Citizens club, where she enjoyed playing cards and socializing.
Tina is survived by one daughter: Mary (Tim) Braatz, Rochester, MN; sons: Joseph (Sue) Wobbe, Webster, MN; Michael (Kim) Wobbe, Wabasha, MN; and David and James Wobbe, Wabasha, MN; grandchildren: Ashley (Brian) Schouweiler, Kassie, Aaron and Adam Wobbe; Kortney and Dawson Wobbe; Joey and Charlie Wobbe, Tyler and Piper Wobbe; step grandchildren Angie (Tom) Musil and Emily (Dustin) Booth ; two great grandchildren Bentley and Maverick; step- great grandchildren Danny and Ryan, brothers: Tony (Rita) Wallerich and Michael (Linda) Wallerich; sisters: Helen (Chris) Pederson and Catherine Roemer; brothers-in-law: Robert (Ann) Wobbe, Robert Schuth, Matt (Sue) Schuth and Mike Schuth; sisters-in-law: Carla Schuth, Sister Katarina Schuth OSF; and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2021, at St. Felix Catholic Church, Wabasha, MN. Interment will be at St. Felix Cemetery, Wabasha.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday, December 5, at Abbott Funeral Home, Wabasha, with parish prayers at 5 p.m. The visitation will continue at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Casket bearers will be grandchildren Ashley, Kassie, Aaron, Adam, Dawson, Tyler, and Piper.
