Timothy G. Watson, 62 of Plainfield, passed away peacefully in his home on November 19, 2022. His wife and brother were at his side when he passed. He was born on May 31, 1960 in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Janet Carolyn (Hastings) and James Norman Watson. Timothy married Janice L. Chance on December 20, 1994 in Danville. He was a Correctional Officer for the Indiana Department of Correction for 29 years, retiring in October of 2018. Timothy was a Veteran of the Army National Guard and a member of the Plainfield Eagles Lodge #3207. Tim always loved playing sports from Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Bowling, Darts, Pool and Horseshoes to being excited that the Colts and Cubbies had won championship in his life time but didn't get the trifecta with the Pacers winning a title also. He enjoyed camping, fishing and being in the outdoors. Tim loved spending time with family and friends and could bring laughter and joy to everyone regardless of the situation. Survivors include his wife, Janice Watson of Plainfield; siblings, Brian I. Watson (Kristin) of Carmel, Robert Lee Steele (Jae) of Huntsville, AL., Melody G. Jones (Rodney), Melinda K. Watson, Amy L. Chenault (Danny), several nieces and nephews of Terre Haute and Carmel; Stepsons Michael Steven D'Amato (Denise) of Clayton, Darrell D'Amato of Plainfield; grandchildren, Derik (Jess), David (Megan), Devin and Darren D'Amato; and 3 great-grandchildren, Lydia, Kynzlee and Jameson. His parents, grandparents and siblings, James Dale Watson and Pamela Sue Hensley, preceded him in death. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.
