Timothy Charles Jurek, 66, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday July 27, 2022 at Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach, Florida. He is the husband and best friend of Martha (Markowski) Jurek, his loving wife of 42 years and the beloved father of David Edward Jurek.
Born in Meriden, CT, he was the son of Walter and Dorothy (Boziuk) Jurek. Tim attended local schools in Meriden and was a Graduate of The Connecticut State Police Academy. An Avid sports fan and statistical genius, he kept notes on all his teams: The Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots and The Boston Red Sox. He traveled the country playing in many tournaments. Tim and his wife traveled throughout the USA and the world, particularly South America through cruises and other means.
He was a lifetime member of the B.P.O.E., a Moose, an Eagle and a Polish Falcon. Tim served in many positions with these Fraternal organizations and was a Loyal volunteer with all of them. He was also active with the CSEA retirement union, serving as the Local 427 chapter in Florida as its treasurer until his death.
Tim is also survived by his sister, Nancy Kiel; seven nieces: Leslie, Meaghan, Mary, Adrienne, Meredith, Jennifer, Rebecca; his nephew, John and many friends who will miss him terribly. He was predeceased by his big brother Martin Jurek; niece Sarah and brother-in-law Thomas Markowski.
