Thomas "Tommy" Edward Annese, 58, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 7, 2022. Tommy was born to Theodore "Ted" Annese, a retired Staten Island Fire Fighter and Joan (nee Curry) Annese, in Staten Island, NY on December 27, 1963.
During school, he played football from midgets up to winning the All-State Championships in the Delaware River Conference. He received a college scholarship in football to East Strausburg College in PA prior to becoming a Fire Fighter. That is when he moved to Florida and met his soul mate, Lisa. Tommy spent a 25-year career as a Fire Fighter for Martin County Fire Rescue and City of Stuart Fire Rescue, where he retired from. Some of his professional accomplishments were he was a Smoke Diver and assisted in the Montana wildfires. Tommy was a NY Giants fan and a dog lover. He was a dedicated husband, son, friend, and comrade and deeply loved his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years Lisa Annese of Port St. Lucie, FL and his father Theodore "Ted" Annese and brothers Charles, Mickey, Ted and Bill (Lisa), all of Jensen Beach, FL and nieces and nephews Annemarie, Alexandria, T.J. and Michael. He was predeceased by his mother Joan Annese.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Stuart Chapel of Martin Funeral Home & Crematory, 961 S. Kanner Highway, Stuart, FL 34994, and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 10:00 am at Saint Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 2555 NE Savannah Rd, Jensen Beach, FL 34957 with Father Scott Adams as Officiant.
Tommy was an incredible life force and will be missed by many.
