Thomas G. Thoma, 80, of Wallingford, passed away January 12, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Elaine Thoma. Tom was born in Springfield, IL, on January 30, 1941, to the late Dr. George and Emalene Thoma. He is survived by his loving children Kristen Wall (James) of Clinton, Kacey Thoma of Coventry, Nick Thoma (Kristina) of Wallingford, and Alexis Borelli (Joe) of Wallingford, brother G. Stephen Thoma (Jean) of Darien and sister Kathleen Foley of Springfield, IL. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren Griffin and Connor Wall and Lukas Thoma. He is predeceased by a son Scott Thoma and sisters Susan Schaffer and Marinda O'Beirne. Tom attended St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, IN and played football as a defensive back. He retired from Sikorsky Aircraft after 26 years as Director of German Programs. Tom was a member of Wallingford Country Club and enjoyed all sports, especially his Fighting Illini'. His booming singing voice could light up any room with his favorite Irish tunes. Tom will live on in our hearts forever.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2819 Whitney Ave., Hamden. The family will receive friends Thursday from 9 - 11 a.m. in Sisk Brothers Funeral Home 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
